After you’ve purchased a new pair of sports shoes, don’t throw away the old ones. If they still are wearable, there are programs that collect and distribute sneakers and sports shoes to those who can use them. If they’re no longer wearable, there are also options for recycling them. But don’t put them in your curbside recycling bin; instead, you’ll need to drop them off or mail them to a business that processes old shoes.
