Northside- Where Plans Come to Life

CNCURC's Purpose
To stabilize and revitalize the community by increasing homeownership and eliminating blight.

Strategies:
Increase home ownership by offering a variety of housing choices to a diverse population by:
  -Building moderately priced and market-rate housing,
  -Renovating existing homes, and
  -Constructing new homes

Work with local and state government to adopt polices that protect homeowners

Show sensitivity to the environment by: 
  -Using "green" architectural principles-sustainable, environmentally-friendly and healthy,
  -Employing high-performance energy- efficient standards, and
  -Demolishing hazardous properties

Alleviate blight and abate nuisance properties by:
  -Leveraging resources, and collaborating with City departments and local groups, toward enforcement
  existing initiatives

Preserve the historic character of Northside by:
  -Respecting the comprehensive zoning guide lines expressed in the Northside Land Use Plan and
  -Coordinating new structures to complement surrounding historic architecture
