Pressroom Inside the Northside HOMEs - Building Cincinnati, March 13, 2008 Northside at the forefront of green redevelopment - Soapbox Cincinnati, March 11, 2008 Ribbon Cutting For New Homes In Northside - WCPO, December 13, 2007 Green building movement finds a home in Northside - Cincinnati Business Courier, October 19, 2007 MetLife Foundation recognized CNCURC's collaborative efforts in our Fergus Street Homeownership Project, by choosing it as one of six grantees in the country. MetLife and LISC issued the prestigious National Community-Police Partnership award grant for CNCURC's "innovative partnership between community groups and police to promote neighborhood safety and revitalization." MetLife Foundation will promote CNCURC's award-winning project, as a model for revitalization in urban centers, to a national audience of practitioners, policymakers, and academics. Cincinnati Magazine "Home and Garden Seeing Green: Life Imitates Art" includes the special section of the April 2007 edition Center page and pages 154 and 155. The U.S. Green Building Council recognizes CNCURC as a builder participating in its Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) for Homes Pilot Program and certified the Chase Avenue green homes as a Silver LEED certified project. At that time the Council had recognized 558 LEED buildings in the United States for being green, high-performance and sustainable, including 14 buildings in Ohio . CNCURC's was one of two projects in Cincinnati participating in the Homes Pilot Program to receive this designation. |
